
Polices and Guidelines
Welcome to Karate 4 Kids USA.
Unlike most other schools that offer classes and training in Martial Arts, Karate 4 Kids USA does not require students to sign contracts of any kind. Our “No Contracts” policy creates a chemistry among students that’s conducive to high quality performance. Karate 4 Kids USA goal is to produce Black Belts with superior technical skills and strong character traits.
I. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS
- Tuition is payable upon registration: Visa or MasterCard Only
- Students will be automatically enrolled in future sessions unless a 30-day written or E-mail notice is given prior to new session. Payment for the subsequent sessions must be made at least one full week prior to the first class of the new session. There are no refunds after payment has been processed.
- Private lessons and special events (Ninja Nites/Parties) must be paid for in advance and 24-hour notice is required in order to reschedule without forfeiting payment.
II. REFUNDS
- Tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
III. MAKE-UP POLICY
- Students may attend any appropriate-level class during the same session of the missed class.
- At NO time will refunds or pro-rations be given in lieu of make-up classes. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.
- Make-up classes may not be carried over into consecutive session and are non-transferable and cannot be credited. Make ups are at the sole discretion of the studio
IV. STUDIO RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Respect studio and other people’s property.
- Always place your shoes/belongings in designated area.
- Respect the class that is in session.
- Students should use restrooms prior to class.
- Students arriving late must ask permission from the instructor to enter class.
- Demonstrate a formal “Bow” as you enter and exit from the classroom.
- Enter class with energy and demonstrate your enthusiasm for learning.
- Focus your eyes on your instructor. Always show your best attention and give your instructor positive response to questions. “Yes, Sir/ Ma’am”
- Demonstrate proper posture and attitude at all times.
- Always be well mannered and courteous toward others.
- No eating, drinking or gum chewing is permitted on the mat area.
- Children and adults are prohibited from using any studio equipment without the express permission of a K4K USA staff member.
- No horseplay! This includes all aggressive behavior and language.
- Only instructors and students are permitted on the mats.
V. MANDATORY DRESS CODE
- Feet must be bare. Socks/shoes are not allowed on mat.
- All students must wear appropriate karate attire (karate uniform/do bok.) Students may also wear K4K USA Tshirts during June, July and August. Keep uniforms neat and clean with patches in proper placement. Learn to tie your belt and uniform properly. Pants may not be rolled-up. Please hem pants to appropriate length.
- Please remove all jewelry before entering class. Keep nails trimmed short.
- If your hair touches your shoulders or gets in front of your face, it must be secured in a ponytail or bun.
- Practice good personal hygiene habits. Keep uniforms neat and clean.
VI. CLASS ETIQUETTE
- It is unacceptable to be verbally or physically abusive in any way to the K4K USA staff or students.
- Please inform the K4K USA staff prior to the class if a participant has any special needs that require instructor’s attention.
- Please notify the K4K USA staff prior to the class if a participant needs to leave early.
- In the event that a child’s behavior is significantly distracting to other class participants, he/she may be asked by the K4K USA staff to observe class until he/she can participate appropriately.
STUDENT AGREEMENT:
Abiding by the policies and guidelines outlined above will allow the Karate 4 Kids USA staff to provide the best possible service to each student.
